Cathi Phillips Dunnagan is senior instructional designer with Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) at NC State University. She designs experiences for learners that incorporate virtual reality (VR), video, podcasts, and gamification with the goal of student engagement. She has conducted activity-based presentations for SXSWedu, New Media Consortium, UNC Cause, UNC Wilmington, and NC State. At ELI 2019, with Mike Cuales and Maria Gallardo-Williams, she presented “Virtual Organic Chemistry Labs: Your Personal TA Is Waiting for You.” In March 2020 as the pandemic closed physical labs, Maria Gallardo-Williams pivoted all NC State organic chemistry students into these virtual labs and opened these labs to the world—NC State Organic Chemistry Virtual Labs, https://go.ncsu.edu/vrlabs-orgchem.
